The WSOP did the right thing by moving the final table of poker tournaments
The WSOP made the right decision by relocating the poker tournament final table - Looking back on this year's WSOP Main Event, I think it was a smart choice to switch from the format of playing on November 9 to playing in July.
This modification sparked a lot of interest in the Main Event across the game industry. With 7,221 players, the turnout was the third-highest in WSOP history, which I think was influenced by the broadcast change.
With so many tales being fed by John Hesp's clumsy Cinderella tale, the momentum keeps growing. His largest cash-in prior to the WSOP was first place for $1,000 in his monthly Sunday buy-back tournament at Napoleons Casino & Restaurant in Hull last month. Hesp, 64, of Bridlington, England, is the grandpa of seven.
"Most people would know I rarely write on Facebook but I want you all to know I had the most bizarre experience of my life... I'm truly"living the dream," he wrote in a Facebook post after making the final 27 last Monday.
John revitalizes the joy of the games we adore. He finished in fourth place, won $2.5 million, and did so with grace and humility. Two of the final three players, Scott Blumstein from New Jersey, Daniel Ott from Pennsylvania, and Frenchman Benjamin Pollak from Paris, returned on Saturday with no prior WSOP experience, visit Superhoki89 for playing online slot with real money.
With two guys who were 25 years old facing off, it was a really intriguing conclusion. Once Hesp, the co-leader, was defeated by Blumstein's traveling ace while holding top two pair, Blumstein took the lead for three days. The 2017 WSOP Main Event was won by Blumstein for nearly $8 million, defeating Ott for second place and his $4.7 million. Pollak, the only other player who played poker professionally among the final three, was the first person eliminated on Saturday. He received $3.5 million for placing third.
